Through structured panel discussions, participants were encouraged to analyze complex geopolitical dynamics and propose diplomatic pathways in addressing global instability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The simulation featured four major panel sessions, each focusing on critical contemporary issues. The first panel, <em>\u201cFire Across the Middle East: Diplomacy Amid the U.S.\u2013Israel\u2013Iran Confrontation,\u201d<\/em> examined escalating tensions driven by Iran\u2019s nuclear program, regional proxy conflicts, and direct military exchanges involving Israel and Iran, alongside the strategic involvement of the United States.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The second panel addressed <em>\u201cThe Gaza Conflict (2023\u20132026),\u201d<\/em> highlighting one of the most severe humanitarian crises in recent decades, marked by mass casualties, infrastructure collapse, regional instability, and stalled peace negotiations that have further complicated prospects for a two-state solution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The third session, <em>\u201cOperation Resolve: The Capture of Nicol\u00e1s Maduro and the Future of Sovereignty in International Politics,\u201d<\/em> explored the global diplomatic crisis triggered by the U.S. operation in Caracas, raising questions on sovereignty, head-of-state immunity, and the legitimacy of unilateral enforcement actions in international law.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The fourth panel, <em>\u201cChokepoint Crisis \u2013 Diplomacy and Global Security After Iran Closes the Strait of Hormuz,\u201d<\/em> discussed the global consequences of disrupted maritime trade routes, energy security challenges, and the geopolitical implications of controlling one of the world\u2019s most strategic waterways.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Additionally, the simulation expanded its scope to include discussions on <em>\u201cThe Future of Global Finance: Navigating the Shift from Dollar Dominance,\u201d<\/em> focusing on dedollarization trends, the rise of alternative currencies, and the potential restructuring of global financial governance institutions such as the IMF and World Bank.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"819\" height=\"1024\" src=\"https:\/\/hi.fisip.unhas.ac.id\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/HINSIGHTAs-part-of-the-Hasanuddin-Dialogue-on-Global-Affairs-Simulation-HDGAS-2026-Naviga-1-1-819x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3852\" srcset=\"https:\/\/hi.fisip.unhas.ac.id\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/HINSIGHTAs-part-of-the-Hasanuddin-Dialogue-on-Global-Affairs-Simulation-HDGAS-2026-Naviga-1-1-819x1024.jpg 819w, https:\/\/hi.fisip.unhas.ac.id\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/HINSIGHTAs-part-of-the-Hasanuddin-Dialogue-on-Global-Affairs-Simulation-HDGAS-2026-Naviga-1-1-240x300.jpg 240w, https:\/\/hi.fisip.unhas.ac.id\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/HINSIGHTAs-part-of-the-Hasanuddin-Dialogue-on-Global-Affairs-Simulation-HDGAS-2026-Naviga-1-1-768x960.jpg 768w, https:\/\/hi.fisip.unhas.ac.id\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/HINSIGHTAs-part-of-the-Hasanuddin-Dialogue-on-Global-Affairs-Simulation-HDGAS-2026-Naviga-1-1.jpg 1170w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 819px) 100vw, 819px\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Online session<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Since its inception, HDGAS has become an integral part of diplomatic education within the Department of International Relations at Universitas Hasanuddin.
