International Classes & Double Degrees

In August 2017, the International Relations Department at our institution obtained accreditation from the ASEAN Universities Network-Quality Assurance International. Furthermore, the Department launched the International Class Program, where the language of instruction is English. A distinctive aspect of the program is the International Academic Exposure initiative, which requires students in the program to take part in a study abroad program, exchange program, or dual degree program. Since its inception, this program has involved six groups of international students, with a total of 44 active participants.

As proof of our commitment to improving the quality of international class graduates, we have initiated a double-degree collaboration with our partner institution, the University of Queensland. Starting in 2022, Hasanuddin University’s Department of International Relations and the University of Queensland’s Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences have signed an agreement to establish a double-degree program. This program requires 2.5 years of study at Hasanuddin University and 1.5 years of study at The University of Queensland, resulting in the acquisition of two degrees: Bachelor of Political Science (S.IP) and Bachelor of Arts (BA). Currently, we have four students enrolled in the Dual Degree program at The University of Queensland.
