
he Department of International Relations, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Hasanuddin University, successfully underwent an accreditation site visit conducted by the Lembaga Akreditasi Mandiri Sosial Politik Administrasi dan Komunikasi (LAMSPAK) on 9 February. The visit constituted a formal field assessment as part of the national accreditation process aimed at evaluating the academic quality and institutional governance of the study program.
During the site visit, the LAMSPAK assessors carried out a comprehensive evaluation of various dimensions of academic administration and program implementation. These included the clarity and relevance of the department’s vision and mission, governance and leadership structures, human resource capacity, curriculum design and learning processes, research productivity, community engagement, as well as measurable outcomes of the Tri Dharma of higher education.

The field assessment extended beyond document verification and involved structured interviews and in-depth discussions with key stakeholders within the academic community. The process actively engaged faculty members, teaching staff, administrative personnel, and students. Their participation provided a holistic representation of the department’s academic culture, quality assurance mechanisms, and the overall learning environment.
Through a rigorous, objective, and constructive evaluation process, the assessors obtained a comprehensive understanding of the department’s sustained commitment to quality enhancement and continuous improvement in higher education delivery.


Based on the results of the site visit and the overall assessment, the Department of International Relations was awarded the highest national accreditation status, namely “Excellent” (Akreditasi Unggul). This distinction reflects formal recognition of the department’s academic excellence, institutional governance, and consistent adherence to national quality standards.

This achievement represents the collective efforts of the entire academic community, supported by faculty and university leadership, as well as contributions from alumni and institutional partners. Moving forward, the Department of International Relations remains committed to strengthening curriculum innovation, enhancing research performance, expanding national and international collaborations, and producing graduates equipped with global competitiveness and professional integrity.
This milestone further consolidates the department’s position as one of the leading International Relations programs in Indonesia.
