The Department of International Relations, Unhas, becomes a Role Model in the cooperation of Adjunct Professors, Vice Dean II from various faculties visiting International Relations, Unhas

The Department of International Relations (IR) of Hasanuddin University (UNHAS) together with their first Adjunct Professor, Dr. G.A. (Gerben) Moerman, recently received an important visit from the Vice Deans II throughout UNHAS. This visit is part of an effort to support the international cooperation plan that has been pioneered by UNHAS, especially through collaboration with the University of Amsterdam, the Netherlands. The visit is an initial step in strengthening academic relations between the two institutions, which is expected to encourage more collaborative initiatives in the future.

Adjunct Professor Gerben Moerman, who is also an academic from the University of Amsterdam, was actively involved in discussions with the Vice Deans II, providing views and input regarding opportunities for developing academic cooperation. Moerman has played an important role in bridging the relationship between UNHAS and the University of Amsterdam, especially in research programs involving students and lecturers. This initiative was initiated by the Rector of UNHAS as part of an effort to expand international networks and improve the quality of education on campus.

This meeting was not only a forum for exchanging views, but also an opportunity for other faculties within UNHAS to be more actively involved in international cooperation efforts. The Vice Deans II who attended explored further information regarding the experience of the Department of International Relations in building this cooperation, including the challenges and opportunities faced. This experience is expected to inspire other faculties to explore similar collaborations, in order to strengthen UNHAS’s academic reputation on the global stage.

With this cooperation, it is hoped that UNHAS can further increase its contribution to the international education network, both through student and lecturer exchanges, research collaborations, and other academic initiatives. In the future, the synergy between UNHAS and the University of Amsterdam is expected to be a model for the development of international cooperation in other faculties within UNHAS.
